About the algorithm (flex-lcn)

Lyncoin mines with flex-lcn: a memory-hard CPU algorithm that chains about 15 classic hash functions (blake, groestl, jh, keccak, skein, luffa, cubehash, shavite, simd, echo, hamsi, fugue, shabal, whirlpool, gost streebog) with CryptoNight-style rounds (2 MB scratchpad), over the 80-byte block header. The pool speaks the standard Bitcoin Stratum protocol. Block time is 60 seconds; the base reward started at 210,000 LCN and is cut by 1% on every retarget (every ~3 days early in the chain's life, every ~30 days now); 10% of the subsidy is a fixed developer output built into every coinbase, the rest goes to miners.

  • Use poolpayminer (below): it knows flex-lcn and speaks this pool's protocol.
  • flex-lcn is a CPU algorithm: every thread needs about 2 MB of memory; any modern CPU works.
